Careers

The AEETP program teaches young people to look to the future, to set goals, and then to work hard to achieve those goals. The focus on career exploration and the development of workplace skills are cornerstones of the AEETP Program.

This focus includes the following components:

  • Exposure to various careers through field trips, speakers, and other activities
  • Career counseling and workshops offered by the staff of the Penn State Lehigh Valley Career Development Office and the AEETP program job coach
  • Information and assistance on applying for college, financial aid, entrance to the Armed Services, or for other post-graduation goals
  • Employment skills such as resume writing and interviewing
  • Experience in the world of work through placements in community businesses during the summer
  • Career resources provided by CareerLink Lehigh Valley and the Private Industry Council
