Come along on this imaginary outdoor adventure. Together we'll write the sights and sounds of the summer wilderness. Campers will bring the outdoors inside as we swap stories and sing our songs around the "campfire". Let's explore tree houses and tents, take note of our nature walks and capture those ugly bugs in writing. Don't forget the S'mores…recipes!
This camp is for students entering grades 2-3.
Instructor: Vicky Lynott
Ms. Lynott is the coauthor of two books and a longstanding literacy educator (preschool through college) in the Lehigh Valley. She became a National Writing Project Fellow in 2004 and currently shares her writing passion with children in the Catasauqua Area School District where she teaches English and social studies. In addition, she is an ESL instructor at
The Literacy Center in Allentown. This year's summer writing camp is packed with some of her all-time favorites: being in the company of young writers, the imaginative fun of wilderness camping adventures, and loads of collaboration with the writing process.
