Southcentral Pennsylvania Writing Project

We are from cornhusks and concrete, from farms and coal mines, where the
            Alleghenies meet valleys.

We are from back alleys and small towns from the birthplaces of Jimmy Stewart and
Rachel Carson to Que Creek Mine and the Flight 93 Memorial, bonding
communities where family tree roots reach deep.

We are from “crick,” “gum band,” and “n’hat” and “redding up the house” in case “Yunz’
            are coming over for pierogis.

We are from maple syrup and Wilson’s Chocolates to Snyders of Berlin to Luigis
            Spaghetti Sauce.
To Amish buggies and quads, Storybook Forest and the oldest family fun park in
            the U.S.

We are Southcentral Pennsylvania Writing Project at IUP!
