Add Your Story

We are not adding new stories to the "Runaway Lives" site at this time. Please feel free to browse the stories and resources.

Runaways past and present and their family members are invited to share their experiences. Writings may be of any length and in any form: a brief reflection, a diary, a poem, a captioned photo, whatever. The only requirement is that it be based on fact, not fiction. To add your story, send any format to jsandt@psu.edu

Why add your story? Sharing our experiences can serve to heal personal wounds, can speak to those who may contemplate running, and can give others an understanding of a lifestyle not often documented by those who live it.

In many cases writers and their subjects prefer to remain anonymous, and we respect that right. All names included in a story will be changed. Email addresses will also not be posted, because runaways are often vulnerable in many ways.

Submit stories to jsandt@psu.edu.
