The course is divided into three sessions:
  1. pre-trip
  2. trip
  3. post-trip

Ram 1. The pre-trip session will consist of assignments using the course web site. These assignments will focus on background information on Alaska, the temperate rainforest ecosystems and impacts on biodiversity. Eagle

2. The trip session will consist of a four-day visit to Denali National Park and a eleven-day trip along the southeastern cost of Alaska. Several evening programs will be presented while on the trip. The following topics will be discussed: Alaskan mountain
  • Mechanisms of Evolution
  • Biogeography of Alaska
  • Biodiversity and Speciation
  • Temperate Rainforests
  • Alaskan Biodiversity
  • Protection of Alaskan Biodiversity

Brown Bear 3. Submission of journal entries and species assignments will occur during the post-trip session.
