Physical Requirements:

• Must be in good physical condition and able to walk 10 to 15 km a day and/or night through dense rainforest and/or debris covered beaches.
  
  
• No abuse of illegal drugs. No consumption of alcohol. No smoking.
  
  
• Be willing to work under difficult and uncomfortable conditions such as heat, rain and mosquitoes - all day and night.
  
  
• Must be able to swim.
  
  
• Know if you are allergic to mosquito bites, and if so have necessary medication on hand.
  
  
• Have a health insurance policy issued by the HTH World Wide Study Abroad Insurance Company through Penn State undergraduates. Information will be provided to you.
  
  
• Must be able to endure long bus trips over rough and bumpy terrain.
  
  
• It is STRONGLY advised that anyone with a heart condition or any other health condition such as, but not limited to, pregnancy, asthma, or arthritis consult Dr. McLaughlin before applying.
