Use Internet Resources To search
for criticism on a particular work, try Google.
Enter the name of the play in quotes and the word criticism in the search
box. Locate Reviews in Newspapers ProQuest Direct provides the full text of reviews from many major newspapers. Change the Article Type to Performance Reviews by using the drop-down menu near the bottom of the search page. Reviews of many plays can also be found in New York Times Historical (1851-2001) and Times of London, Palmer's Index, 1790-1905. More recent NYT reviews can be found in ProQuest Direct . Check the LLRC Theatre 100 bibliography for books of literary criticism in the LLRC reference collection. To find information in books in critical series such as British Dramatists of the Twentieth Century, first identify the nationality and time period of the author in the Britannica or other source.
