The Poe Studies Association, established in 1972, provides a forum for the scholarly and informal exchange of information on Edgar Allan Poe, his life, and works. The PSA now has a blog at poestudies.blogspot.com and a Facebook page at www.facebook.com/pages/Poe-Studies-Association/92529671897?ref=ts. The Poe Studies Association currently has a membership of 330 which includes scholars and Poe enthusiasts from the United States and abroad. The current president is Steve Rachman, Michigan State University; the vice-president is Beth Sweeney, College of the Holy Cross; and the Secretary-Treasurer is Paul C. Jones, Ohio University. The PSA meets at the yearly conferences of the Modern Language Association in December and the American Literature Association in May. The PSA sponsors two panels related to Poe at each of these conferences. Bylaws of the Poe Studies Association The membership fee of $20.00 ($25 for international members) includes two issues of The Edgar Allan Poe Review and access to the PSA listserve. Plans for Poe's 200th Birthday Celebration are underway! The Third International Edgar Allan Poe Conference: The Bicentennial will be held in Philadelphia, October 8-11, 2009, at the Hyatt Recency at Penn's Landing.
