About the Meeting

The Poe Studies Association's Fourth International Edgar Allan Poe Conference will be held in New York City from February 26 to March 1, 2015, at the Roosevelt Hotel in mid-Manhattan. The PSA's international conferences have been making their way from the south to the north: from the first conference held in Richmond in 1999 to the Baltimore area in 2002 to Philadelphia in 2009, and now we'll be meeting in New York City where Poe enjoyed his most fame while alive.

The conference will begin with a reception in the Palm Room of the Roosevelt Hotel on Thursday evening. Three days of scholarly panels will follow and on Saturday night our traditional banquet will be held in the Grand Ballroom of the Roosevelt featuring a talk by J. Gerald Kennedy, Boyd Professor of English at Louisiana State University and acclaimed Poe scholar. The conference will have a book exhibit and Richmond's Museum of Edgar Allan Poe will have an onsite shop.

Thanks to its many sponsors and the technical support of Penn State Lehigh Valley's Continuing Education Department, the PSA looks forward to an international and powerful gathering of scholars, highlighting one of the most famous and best-loved American writers whose influence still inspires the arts throughout the world.
